DAVID OBA-CO-ORDINATOR
DAVID OBA, 40-year-old Nigerian, is a specialist in institution building and organizational learning systems. He holds a Ph.D degree in Political Science of the University of Benin, Nigeria. He is a lecturer and the present Co-ordinator of Prompt Assistance to Victims of Road Accidents (PATVORA), a major road safety NGO in Nigeria. Oba has attended various local and international training courses, workshops and conferences on injury prevention and development programmes. Oba is a Master trainer for the United Nations Population Fund and Member, International Road Federation. He is a Consultant to Delta State Government of Nigeria on road safety and injury prevention, Partner to Road Traffic Injury Research Network (RTIRN) and Member, International Society for Violence and Injury Prevention. He has developed training materials, readings and consultancy reports on road safety, public administration and citizen education.
Oba's commitment to reduction of road traffic injuries is evinced in his work and achievements both as an Executive of PATVORA and in his personal capacity as a road safety intellectual. Oba is a regular contributor to road safety discourse in the Nigerian media and at events of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Nigeria's regulatory agency on Road safety. He has presented position papers on safer road in major national and International seminars and has wealth of experience on Child road safety issues.
Oba is a member of WHO Nigeria led Committee on Road Traffic Injury reduction and a consultant to a major private sector led initiative on road safety in Nigeria.
Oba's contributions to road safety promotion are making a significant addition to the efforts of international organisations working on the reduction of injuries and violence prevention in Africa. Specifically, under his leadership at PATVORA, His organization received official commendation for presenting a brilliant technical paper on “The Child and Road Safety" at the Federal Road Safety Commission of Nigeria (FRSC) Corps Marshal's Conference 2007 held in Abeokuta, Nigeria.
CHUDE CHARLES OJUGBANA - PROJECT ADVISER
Chude is a member of the Permanent Technical Committee on Road Safety of the International Road Federation (IRF) and serves as the West African Point of Contact Person for International Road Federation Fellows Alumni Association (IFAA). He has presented well-researched technical papers at various international road safety fora for improved funding of national road safety agencies in Africa and other relevant safety related issues on behalf of Prompt Assistance To Victims of Accidents (PATVORA). Of particular note is his abstract on “Road Casualty Reduction Scheme for African Road Users” which he presented on the auspices of a fellowship granted by Road Traffic Injury Research Network (RTIRN) at the 7th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion, Vienna, Austria. Chude has to his credit 25 scholarly publications in international journals on road safety and he is a development consultant with special interest in tri-sector partnering models for road safety in developing economies.
Chude is a partner to WHO Violence and Injury Prevention department on country legislative database. His various activities in the global fight against road safety crisis earned him the prestigious WHO recognition as a committed partner.
Chude is a founding member of Prompt Assistance To Victims Of Road Accidents (PATVORA), a major road safety NGO with strong volunteer network in Nigeria. He is the pioneer Co-ordinator of PATVORA and presently Project Adviser. He is also a member of International Road Federation and Member, International Society for Violence and Injury Prevention (ISVIP), Partner to Road Traffic Injury Research Network, Managing partner, AG Becks Consultants, Ghana and Chief Executive, Paragon Monarchs International, a Nigerian based road safety consultancy firm.
On the National level, from Austria to Belgium and from USA to South Africa and Ghana, Chude has shown an irresistible motive for a belief in a better tomorrow for the motoring publics of Nigeria. In addition to his international road safety engagements, Chude is a powerful advocate for enhanced funding of activities of the Federal Road Safety Commission of Nigeria (FRSC) and he collaborates with the FRSC on international road safety advocacy. Chude has participated in major local conferences on safety promotion and supports the efforts of road safety professionals in Nigeria through distribution of numerous road safety materials in partnership with international agencies. He is currently championing a bill on "drunk-driving" at the National Assembly in Nigeria and is promoting his unshakable belief that all vehicle drivers in Nigeria should have basic knowledge of first-aid before receiving their drivers' licenses. Chude has a master's degree in Business Administration and a B.Sc degree in Industrial Mathematics from the University of Benin, Nigeria and other certificates in international transportation safety. He has over 18 years of banking, management consultancy, private sector and NGO road safety experience.

Ms. MAGDALENE DIKE - ADVOCACY OFFICER
Magdalene, a
lawyer is currently the Deputy Head of PATVORA Awareness Against Drunk Driving
(PAADD). She is working in the area of alcohol misuse by road users in
collaboration with international organizations. She is presently building
coalitions to promote responsible drinking in Nigeria and at PATVORA, her major
responsibility is behavioral research on drunk drivers and strategy development
for the involvement of Alcohol manufacturing sector in road safety. Magdalene
has been very vocal in the local media on social and economic arguments for
safer roads. She also works with victim witnesses on the call for the
establishment of a National Commission Against Drink Driving in Nigeria.
ANYANTI UCHE - I.T CO-ORDINATOR
Uche is a graduate of Computer Engineering. He's PATVORA's web
master and I.T Co-ordinator. He has considerable operational experience in
building road safety campaign and advert programmes. Uche has carried out a
number of consultancies on road traffic injury Surveillance and Analysis. He has
designed for free innovative websites for other not-for-profit Organisations and
he is currently directing a road safety film for School Children. Uche won the
best staff award of the Patvora Organisation in 2004 and he is a member of IEEE
KENNETH OZOR- MANAGER MAJOR EVENTS & OPERATIONS
Prior to
joining PATVORA in 2004, Kenneth was involved in work place related road safety
programmes while employed at Okris Ltd. At PATVORA, he has worked on projects to
increase road user involvement in road safety in Nigeria. He also serves as
PATVORA's special events Manager in partnerships with other organisations. He
has presented papers at Conferences on motorcycle and pupil transportation
safety.
