For all the promising prospects on the horizon, road crashes continue to invade our lives, violate our past and rob us of our comfortable assumptions about the future. With advanced preventive strategies and known interventions for road safety in the industrialized world, it is tempting to forget those we've lost and continue to lose every year in the developing world through road crashes.
PATVORA Memorial is a dedicated space in the web site where those touched directly or indirectly by road crashes can visit to heal, hope and remember. Our objective is to provide the Internet community with the opportunity to host our loved ones online. The PATVORA memorial website utilises multimedia and Internet technologies to commemorate and preserve the memories of those who have died of road crashes.
Our mission is to increase understanding of the human tragedy of the road crashes.
If you'd like to commemorate the memory of someone you've lost – with graphics, images and words – please see the below guidelines before filing the memorial form .
Your memorial can include the following elements:
* A picture of the victim;
* Your relationship with the victim;
* The victim's date of birth;
* The date of the crash;
* What the victim was doing at the time of the crash;
* Information about the victim and what you would like to add; (You may look at some of the existing memorials ).
* Information about the circumstances of the crash. You may include in the memorial a short description of what happened. Please note, however, that we cannot be seen to publish material that may be interpreted to defame or libel any other person. Therefore, you may not quote the names of other people involved in the crash. The reviewer's decision concerning the suitability of content is final.
You can include a picture of the victim if you upload it via this site electronically in JPEG format. If you do not have a digital camera you can create a JPEG image by scanning an existing photograph. Many Internet cafes offer such services and may therefore be able to assist you if required.
Anyone who visits the memorial online can inform others using the send to a friend link
