PATVORA's mission is to help prevent road crashes and save lives of road users. To fulfill this mission, PATVORA has a growing volunteer scheme, funds research, provides information and other services on road safety. The Organisation is also actively involved in educating and influencing society to adopt road safety policies, practices and procedures that prevent and mitigate human suffering and economic losses arising from vehicular crashes.

PATVORA's Board of Trustees is the organisation's governing body elected by the Council members. The Trustees appoint PATVORA's co-ordinator. All trustees are volunteers and serve without compensation. The Co-ordinator appoints the rest of PATVORA's Executive team.

All members of the Executive committee are responsible for initiating actions in support of PATVORA's mission, goals and programmes. This includes assisting in expanding PATVORA's outreach and increasing its visibility and donor support. The Executive Committee will serve for a period of two years expiring February  2007.
