Issues of concernNigeria has one of the highest road traffic accident rates in the world. For every road crash that is serious enough to result in a police report or newspaper article, there are tens more which never got reported to the authorities. Road traffic injuries are not 'accidents' - they are as preventable a public health problem as heart disease, stroke or HIV. This site calls for action on the part of road users on two issues of concerns. 1. Inadequate Federal funding of the FRSC (Federal Road Safety Commission) 2. Complacency of alcohol manufacturers on road safety especially on drunk driving. If you have any idea or suggestion that may be useful, please send your views to concerns@patvora.org. This website is under development and more information about issues of concern will be available soon. In the meantime, we want you to have information about some hot topics we are following: 1. Facts about drunk driving 2. Views of experts and international agencies. 3. International activities of alcohol manufacturers in road safety development. 4. Views of victims of drunk drivers 5.
