Without a doubt, in Africa, the road safety conditions are usually very demanding and it takes a special approach to stay road crash free because FREQUENTLY, there are bad roads, MORE OFTEN than not; there are no timely rescue facilities, however at PATVORA, we  are of the firm hope that road fatalities will reduce drastically with more people and organisations in Africa taking up the fight against preventable road deaths through proper implementation of known interventions and development of culturally integrated road safety measures.

The aim of this site is to raise awareness on the magnitude of road crash burden without necessarily undermining the good efforts of very few National road safety agencies, promote advocacy for improved funding of road safety activities  in  Africa, encourage local and international partnership  that will further road safety development especially with increased vehicular use occasioning  injuries mostly arising from unregulated driving permits and explosion in the use of motorbikes for commercial transportation.

Sections of this website are designed to help road users and organisations prevent road crashes through acquiring fresh knowledge on what works for safer roads and improve help for victims of road crashes by offering training in first aid administration, drawing lessons from PATVORA’s challenges, success stories of its collaboration with other agencies and its growing but tasking partnership with the Federal Road Safety Commission, Nigeria’s regulatory agency on road safety

Lots of information has been provided for journalists and students researching road safety issues including. For the younger user, we have interactive patvora kids and youth zone sites, where you can play games, download materials or participate in PATVORA events. Also, the pages of this website are filled with compelling stories of hard-working and proud people striving to overcome road safety crisis.
